Jet’s Residential wastewater treatment plant utilizes a three compartment tank to treat raw wastewater. A pre-treatment compartment receives influent allowing separation of solid sludge to the bottom of the tank. The second compartment houses the Jet’s BAT (biologically accelerated treatment) media. In this compartment wastewater/grey water is mixed with oxygen using an aerator and passes over the living microorganisms on the media. The treated wastewater or grey water then flows to the settling compartment. From here a clear liquid known as effluent is then discharged out of the tank.
